My affinity for whales was ingrained in me from childhood, thanks to my grandfather's captivating tales about these ocean giants during our evening gatherings.

During my precious days off, I made pilgrimages to this charming town and discovered a personal sanctuary – a colossal rock that extended gracefully into the ocean. Here, amidst the rhythmic lullaby of crashing waves, I spent countless hours, admiring the profound depths of the sea and allowing my creative spirit to soar through the act of drawing.

It was a spot where I often found myself in the company of these majestic creatures. However, one particular day stands out vividly in my memory. On that day, an immense whale ventured so close to my perch that I could discern the mesmerizing depths of its ebony eyes, eyes that held a profound connection.

In those silent moments, an unspoken dialogue transpired. Those dark, expressive eyes seemed to convey a tapestry of emotions and wisdom. They spoke of the inherent beauty within my soul and the intricate interconnectedness that binds us to the tapestry of existence. Love, boundless and unconditional, radiated from those eyes like a beacon.

Since that transformative day, whenever the weight of the world bears down on me, and fatigue takes hold, I revisit that profound gaze. Through those eyes, I don't just see myself; I perceive the entire world, bathed in the radiant light of unity and love. It's a connection that sustains me, a love that endures.
